Hello everyone,
I need help with the following:
I submitted my tender to become a UE translator, but I filled the wrong form and indicated that I'm also a project manager (I thought it was mandatory).

Now I've been enrolled in a translation project management test that I can't take because it involves the translation of a multilingual document of 10k words in 1 day
Does anybody know what should I do now?
I'm worried that if I skip this test, even if it is not relevant to my tender, my submission will be rejected entirely and I won't be able to take the actual translation test for my language pair.
Any sort of help will be more than welcome
Thank in advance!

Above all, don't panic! 😉
(I know this is not helpful!)
What about reaching out to whoever was responsible for the tender and explaining your situation with a polite request to be excused from the project management test and be reassigned to the appropriate test for your language pair? Apologize for any inconvenience. | | | Marcello Lega أسبانيا Local time: 14:16 عضو (2013) إسباني إلى إيطالي + ... بادئ الموضوع Can't find the contracting authority contact | May 31 |

Thank you Keith,
that is what I'm trying to do, but I can't find a direct way to contact the contracting authtority for this tender.
Do you know anybody who could know who I can reach out to?
Thanks.

I’m afraid there’s nothing to do at this stage, because the fact that you have received a test to do means that the tender is already under way. Anyway, all EU freelance translation competitions are organized by EPSO and you should have an EPSO account. I wonder if you’ll find an answer to you... Hello Maria Teresa and thank you for replying,
I searched in the FAQ section but with no results. There's only a form to contact IT support, which I did and they replied that it's not their domain, of course.
If anything works before, I'll try to upload a txt file during the test, explaining that I am a translator and not a project manager of an agency... although I'm pretty sure that this is not going to work

I was a staff translator at an EU institution for 20 years and I’m retired since 2006. Many things may have changed since then but I’m very surprised that they asked you within a project management test to translate a multilingual document. Maria Teresa,
That's why I believe I made a mistake while I was filling the forms. There was a tab for project managers and the instructions of the document clearly stated to fill in all the mandatory fields, which I did. Perhaps, all the docs are designed with agencies in mind... I don't know. I hope EPSO will reply to my message!
Fingers crossed!
