Fruit drinks erode tooth enamel

The dentists said the unexpected news, so to speak, a warning that the acidity contained in the current popular fruity drinks and, of course, cocktails of fruits such as high as in vinegar. This suggests that the juice can easily erode tooth enamel in adults, not to mention tooth enamel children. Parents at present usually try to buy their children exactly fruit drinks, it is done with the best of intentions as they try to comply with the so-called rule of five servings of fruits and vegetables during the day.

But the study, which was conducted in the specialty Royal College of surgeons, have shown that quite a large number of fruit drinks contain very high levels of acid, which, in turn ,can destroy the enamel on the teeth.

This warning was announced after it was discovered that all kinds of problems with teeth become the third most common among the problems for which parents take their children to the hospital.

The doctors examined some of the most popular currently the drinks and got the following results: orange juice "Tropicana"has an acidity in the range between 3.3 and 3.8, but the high acidity contained in the notorious drink Coca-Cola with a pH of 2.5. The law makers of the popular and generally any drinks are not obliged to write on the packaging the contents of level of acidity. Currently, parents believe that their kids are in the norm should obtain at least one glass of juice during the day, but doctors suggest parents give their children vitamins in form of fresh juices, Vyatich of fruits and vegetablesnot to saturate children"vitamins" from the purchase of drinks, which are only called juice.

The doctors, purchased fruit drinks can be given to children only as treats, and in any case not more than once in a week.
